Hopefully you will have achieved the results you have worked hard for.
If you did not achieve the results you had hoped for there are a number of options:
Contact the school for advice.
If you are eligible for an appeal the school will automatically submit this. The Appeals system has been amended significantly by the SQA.
SQA's appeals service has been replaced by two new ‘Results Services’. These are:
If you require an URGENT Appeal as part of a Conditional offer you must contact the school
I. your SCN number
II.the subject you hope to appeal for
iii the name of the university you have applied to
IV. The course you have applied for
However, the school will only appeal where there is sufficient evidence upon which to base the Appeal. NB Appeals may result in a mark up or down!
You should contact Clearing via UCAS for advice about other courses or options available to you.
Expert UCAS advisers can be contacted on 0371 4680468

Here comes the summer...
And so we come to the final days of the 2013/14 term.
It has been another successful year full of hard work, academic attainment, wider achievement, trips and
fun. Our pupils and staff have been involved in a wide range of activities and a successful School Show. However, whatever they do, the thing that always shines through is the ethos and community spirit of the school as a whole. Hopefully the website and the attached newsletter will give a flavour of the wide variety of activities that we have been involved in.
As we go off to enjoy the long, halcyon days of the summer we also bid farewell to some members of our community. Our S6 and some of our S5 have moved on to employment or Further and Higher Education. Mr McMurdo (Tech) leaves us to join Girvan Academy and Mr Telfer (PE) leaves us to join Kyle Academy until October. We also bid a fond farewell to Mrs Joyce Blythe (PSA) and Ms Anne Rutter (librarian) who have both retired.
A special goodbye goes to Mrs Fay Gillies (English) and Mrs Malakoty (Technical) who retire this summer after many
years of dedication in Queen Margaret. Time for a well earned rest!
We wish them all “All the Best” in their future, wherever their paths may lead them!
Queen Margaret Academy looks forward to welcoming some new faces in August and in particular our new S1.
Some dates to remember:
Exam results will arrive in the post on 5th August-
interviews on 15th August (pupils will receive letters with further details)
Staff Inset 1 : 15th Aug.
Inset 2: 18th August.
Pupils return 19th August.
We wish you all a happy and safe summer!
