Wednesday 9th March 21 S3 pupils from the business education department made a visit to the Cream o’Galloway in Kirkcudbrightshire.
We left in the morning accompanied by Mr Durnan and Ms Gilgallon. On arrival we were met by Helen Fenby Marketing Manager who gave us a tour around the farmpark. The tour included a very interesting, informative and enjoyable question and answer session, we were able to view the production facilities to see batch production in action making of cheese, job production with a Go-Kart track being improved and job production again for the new crazy golf attraction. We found out lots about Cream of Galloway - last year they made 200,000 litres of ice cream and 3 tonnes of cheese.
We enjoyed a great lunch - organic burger and chips with a free sample of ice cream, which happens to be the most natural and creamiest in Scotland! It was delicious!
After lunch we went to the adventure park where a lot of fun was had! We climbed up the watchtower (from the top you could see over to the Lake District!) got lost in a 3D maze, fell over on Go Boing! and had a lot of laughs on the Flying Fox! The amazing weather made the day even more enjoyable!
