Two third year classes took part in the ‘Great Queenie Christmas Bake off this week. The teams consisted of Patryk Wolski and Lewis Tse who designed a lovely Frozen Lake Scene Christmas Cake and Jaye McKeown, Ellie Gilligan and Sinead McCann who designed an equally lovely Nativity Scene. Well done to all pupils involved. Pictures are attached.
Whole School News
The Junior Christmas Disco will take place on the 22nd of December. Over 70 pupils have purchased tickets for this event at The Ark; it promises to be a fun-filled evening!
Teachers and pupils had an evening of lovely food and great company at the S6 end of term meal. This event took place at West of the Moon in Ayr. Well done to all the pupils who were involved in arranging the meal and to all pupils in attendance. Their behaviour was exemplary. They are a credit to the school and to their families.
The S5 Christmas Party was held in the Aviator Suite at Prestwick Airport on the 17th of December. Well done to Melissa Jamieson, Lachlan Haddow, Samuel Chitty, Megan Hamilton, Elle Tait and Stuart Campbell for their amazing efforts in organising the event, to all staff and pupils who were in attendance and to Jim Nimmo for being our resident DJ. As usual, the standard of behaviour was excellent.
Staff night out
The Queenie staff had a wonderful party night at Western House Hotel last Friday, 19th of December. We were treated to Mulled Wine and Roasted Chestnuts on arrival, a lovely meal and a whole range of entertainment. Thanks to everyone who made it such an enjoyable evening.
Everyone at Queen Margaret Academy would like to take this opportunity to wish all our pupils, friends and families a happy and holy Christmas and New Year. The school will re-open on Tuesday 6th January at 8.45am.
