Here comes the summer...
And so we come to the final days of the 2012/13 term.
It has been another successful year full of hard work, academic attainment, wider achievement, trips and fun. Our pupils and staff have been involved in a wide range of activities. However, whatever they do, the thing that always shines through is the ethos and community spirit
of the school as a whole. Hopefully the website and the attached newsletter will give a flavour of the wide variety of activities that we have been involved in.
As we go off to enjoy the long, halcyon days of the summer we also bid farewell to some member s of our community. Our S6 and some of our S5 have moved on to employment or Further and Higher Education. Mr Campbell (Maths) leaves us to join Greenwood Academy. We also bid a fond farewell to Mrs Noreen Parker(PSA) who leaves us to join Southcraig- our loss is
certainly their gain and to Jane McLaughlin (PSA). Miss Fiona MacColl has successfully completed her probation and we wish her luck in her future career.
A special goodbye goes to Mrs Corinne Barr (Geography) who retires this summer after
40 years of dedication in Queen Margaret (yes- she joined us in August 1973!!!) and to Mrs Olivia Gibb, (English)who leaves after many years of dedication and inspiration. Ms Grace Kay also retires form the English Department. Time for a well earned rest!
We wish them all “All the Best” in their future, wherever their paths may lead them!
Queen Margaret Academy looks forward to welcoming some new faces in August and in
particular our new S1.
