Since Queen Margaret Academy launched its website we have received a number of posts and messages from former pupils; these have ranged from those who still live locally, to as far field as New Jersey, USA.
It is always a pleasure to hear of those happy memories and that Queen Margaret Academy still holds such a fond place in the hearts and minds of many. Our Head Boy from 1970 even tells us he still has the uniform he “wore with pride”!
Queen Margaret Academy prides itself on its ethos and sense of community; the school community, the local community and the global community. Each pupil, current and former, is an important element of who we are as a school and all we represent.
Our motto “Omni Opus Bonum”, (every good work) emphasises what makes Queen Margaret Academy special- every good work, whether it be academic achievement or attainment, whether it be extra effort in classwork or in helping others, whether it be in school or in the wider community, the aspiration to “every good work” is what makes Queen Margaret pupils stand out. We aspire to ensure that that ethos remains with all our pupils during their time with us and beyond.
If you have fond memories of your time at Queen Margaret Academy why not drop us a post or email us a picture. We look forward to hearing from you because “Once a Queenie, always a Queenie!”
