Badagry Coffee Morning
St Paul’s, Ayr
Kaylee Dunlop and Rachael Hawkins organised a coffee morning on
Sunday after Mass to raise funds for Badagry. This was extremely
successful and raised £408. The School was very impressed by the work of the girls, supported by the parish community and everyone’s keen interest in the progress of the hospital and feeding station.
Thanks also to Mrs Barr (Geography)for her assistance.
The ladies who manage the tea shop after Mass have also agreed to donate weekly profits to Badagry for the
foreseeable future. So please come along and enjoy some tea and biscuits whilst supporting the appeal which is supported by QMA, her associated primaries and all the local Parishes.
Learn to Sail
There is an opportunity for S1-S3 to take part in sailing taster sessions of
either 2 ½ hrs, or to gain a qualification by taking part in a 6 week course for 2 ½ hrs. There are limited spaces so if you are interested see Michelle Sloan, the Active Schools co-ordinator or speak to Mrs Logan inthe PE Dept.
Heartstart ELS Training
St Patrick’s Primary School, P6 Class
Four of our new senior pupil facilitators made an excellent start to their training programme this session at St Patrick’s Primary.
Amber Main, Michael Da Prato, Louise Girvan and Katerena Nowosad showed confidence, enthusiasm and great pace when delivering the training to P6 pupils. I have to say that it was made all the better with the warm welcome from St Patrick’s and the preparation the pupils had received,
Mr Mann, Heartstart co-ordinator, hope this is the start of more partnership and transition working in this area of Health and Well Beinh.
Congratulations to all involved for their hard work and their continued support of this programme at QMA.
Whole School News
To date we have raised £290 for Children In Need, with more money to be collected. This was mainly raised by a sixth year RE class and was led by Kennedy Pollock. 1Q1 also took part in a sponsored silence and the money from that will be in by next week. Thanks to all who contributed.
